Charging and Charger Management Fees
Unico Power, the service provider, is responsible for managing and overseeing the network of EV chargers. They directly invoice each resident based on the energy consumed during EV charging. A monthly fee covers various services, including billing, user account management, usage reporting, etc. These fees encompass all operational costs, and the residents have no ongoing operating fees. Importantly, the service provider manages EV systems that require remote access, control, metering, and monitoring.
When your EV charger is activated for use, you’ll be billed as follows:
$14.99/month to Unico Power (the service provider & network administrator) for monitoring & reporting.
$14.99/month to Unico Power (the service provider & network administrator) for monitoring & reporting.
$0.16/kWh for the actual energy used for charging each month. The collected amount is paid to the building management to cover energy costs.

User fees only apply to activated EVSEs
When an EVSE is installed for future use, it has no fees until it is activated. Once your EVSE is activated, you can deactivate it for extended periods, such as when your electric vehicle (EV) or home is sold or during extended travel exceeding one month. This flexibility allows you to manage your EVSE usage according to your needs and circumstances, ensuring a hassle-free experience throughout your journey with electric vehicles.

There are no activation, deactivation or extra start-up fees.
- The account setup process is a one-time requirement. The EV Charging station can be activated with a simple tap on “Start Charge” from any mobile device.
- The charger enters “locked” mode to ensure security whenever the vehicle unplugs the nozzle. Only registered owners or authorized users can reactivate the charger.
Account Setup and Charger Activation
After a professional installation, testing, and commissioning, each owner will receive an email from Unico Power with activation instructions. The account setup process is quick and straightforward and done entirely online.
User Account Setup:
Log onto the Unico Power website.
Create a user account.
Agree to pay monthly fees and kWh charges.
Provide credit/debit card information.
Access the Unico App site to activate the charger, monitor consumption, and track ongoing costs.
