An Energy Management System (EMS) is capable of monitoring electrical activity throughout the building and
load balancing any power that is not in use towards EV charger usage when needed. This technology allows us
to expand gradually in phases and to eventually accommodate an EV charger in all residential parking stalls as
the demand for electric vehicles grows. The EMS system avoids the possibility of exceeding maximum electrical
capacity and facing costly electrical upgrades.
We have EMS for all EV chargers. Our EV-EMS system is a centralized load management system that manages
and monitors the load of each EV charger to supply the power within the above-mentioned range.
By opting in now you can access our early bird discount, it is a limited time offer we are providing to early adopters. You will only be invoiced for an initial deposit portion and once your charger has been commissioned and installed, we will be sending you an invoice for the balance amount.
If you choose the subscription option there is no deposit required.
There are 2 options, first you can transfer the remainder of the term to the new owner or you can simply payoutthe balance of the term which remains
By selecting the subscription plan, you can either transfer it to the new owner or pay out the contract. Nothing is required if you proceed with the cash option, if you do move, you would be required to contact Unico and provide them with the new owner’s name.
If someone pulls into your parking stall unless you activate it on your phone app, they will not be able to chargetheir vehicle. In addition, you also have the option to pause or suspend the charger when you are out of town/onvacation.

How many kilowatts (kw) will the device provide?
Since we are recommending EV-EMS for load and demand management, the charger output power will stay within a range of 1.6kW to 6.66kW depending upon the circuit sharing type (i.e., 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, or 4:1) opted by the user and # of chargers operating at the same time within the shared circuit. The rate will depend on the time of day you will be charging but worst-case scenario the highest rate will be in and around $0.16 kwh. If you charge in the evenings or through the night the rates will be much less expensive. On average we have found that electricity costs per month range between $28 to $36, which is dependent on the amount of driving you do.
We will be installing Unico Power Level 2 Aprisa EV Charging Stations and includes an SAE Universal J1772Adapter, 25′ Charging Cord & Hanger. This will charge any vehicle sold in North America, this includes Tesla vehicles. Tesla provides all of its owners with an adapter that slips over the end of the EV charger which makes it compatible.
No, it does not-there are additional monthly monitoring fee’s of approx. $14.99 + HST. Unico will set up a preauthorized monthly payment with you, they will send you a bill at the end of each month outlining your usage. They will then direct the money collected from all the users to the corporation to offset the electricity used by everyone charging.

The monthly subscription charge is to pay off the charger. Activation of the charger comes into effect once you are ready to use it. Once the charger has been activated you will be required to pay a monthly monitoring fee. Essentially the monthly payment goes towards the total purchase price for 60 or 120 months
