Background
- The TSCC condominium buildings at 2 & 8 Rean Drive needed a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) installed on a 75 HP cooling tower fan motor to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- The existing inefficient HVAC systems were consuming excessive energy, resulting in higher utility bills and placing a significant financial burden on the condominium’s budget.
- Aging HVAC systems also generated considerable noise, disrupting the peaceful environment and negatively impacting residents’ quality of life.
Project Details
- At EnerSavings, we performed a thorough assessment of the cooling tower’s operational needs and opportunities for energy optimization.
- We created a customized plan to integrate a VFD into the 75 HP cooling tower fan motor, adjusting its operating schedule to maximize efficiency.
- We revised the cooling tower’s operating schedule to reduce energy usage during periods of low demand, without compromising its performance.
