The Challenge

LED technology improves food safety in several ways during the journey from farm to table and the most obvious reason LED is perfect for food processing facilities is its ability to withstand the cold. Hence Management at TWI wanted an upgrade to LED lighting which run cooler, last longer, and frequently have a better color rendering index (CRI) along with lowering the energy cost of the facility by providing the greater energy savings.

The Results

EnerSavings replaced all the existing conventional lighting Tubes to LED Tubes in TWI’s production, warehouse, and office areas, resulting in energy savings of 40%. We used NSF rated tubes for the replacement which were needed for food-safe areas. We replaced the existing metal halide fixture with New LED fixtures in the exterior area. These luminaires feature the best performance on the market producing high illumination levels, superior glare control, and uniformity. This allowed for superb lighting coverage with more lumens and a fraction of the existing system wattage.
